Scrap Material

The one thing I have found out as I get more involved with wood working is you can accumulate a lot of scrap as you complete projects. No matter how well you lay things out for cutting you will always have scrap materials. If just pine was used, it's really no big deal or great loss. However, as you get more in depth and brave enough to spend money on better wood, you have a tendency to hang on to your scraps. You just never know what piece it might be useful for in your next project. The problem is, your scrap pile can grow quickly taking up a lot of space.

Surprisingly enough there are quite a few small projects you can come up with that will utilize these left overs. I have seen items from votive candle holders creating a nice table piece, to wine racks and multiple items in between. It really is amazing what one projects scrap can become on it's own. Sort of like "One man's junk is another man's treasure."
